Our dear founding member Nora Langan had successful surgery to remove a brain tumor last Wednesday. She may well leave the hospital (Swedish Cherry Hill) early this week and go home where she will need a support for a while. Let me know if you’d like to be part of the support team and what, especially, you’d like to do (meals, transportation, shopping, laundry, etc.). Her long-term partner Christian Roehr can also use support and encouragement. He is her primary caregiver, and we have a splendid team of people who are helping out. Sue Lerner and I are “running point.”
Men’s Coffee at Victrola on 15th Ave E, Wednesday, August 5 at 10:30 am. It’s a “no-host” event where you purchase coffee and/or whatever else you want to eat. Let Joe Garcia know if you are coming for the first time: Text him at 206 753-9380 so he’ll know to look for you. The guys meet in the back room at Victrola.
Women’s Coffee at the home of Susan Fleischman, Wednesday, August 5 at 10:30 am - noon. Susan’s address is 615 38th Ave. Please bring a brunch treat to share. All are welcome! Good on-street parking.

Susan Jamison wants to invite everyone to the opening of the REVAMP fashion show this coming Saturday evening August 8, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Fogue Gallery, 5519 Airport Way in Georgetown. The show features clothing and jewelry from recycled items and Susan has 5 necklaces in the show recycled from men's neckties and donated beads.
