Wider Horizons Events and Information

1. If you’ve seen the movie Broadcast News and would like to join others on Zoom today (Monday) at 4 pm --https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81223532427?pwd=NiByJxPmwi9PXF4KaQLeFCedRSUVR2.1 to discuss it, all are welcome to our Movie Group led by Denise Lishner. The discussion questions are attached.

2. The Healthy Aging Zoom, scheduled for Wednesday, July 29 at 4 pm, is postponed because Dr. Paul Beck has a health issue. Send all your best wishes his way.

3. If you are a Founding Member or other fairly long-term member and would like to get to know a couple of newer members at a small, intimate wine social on Sunday, August 16 in the early evening, to be hosted by Barbara Schwartz (who lives on 21st Avenue E), let me know.

3. Join the Arboretum Walk, led by Richard Zerbe, Sunday, August 2. Meet at 9 am at the Arboretum’s Graham Visitors Center.

4. Interested in attending a Seattle Storm WNBA game with other Wider Horizons folks? Gary Sampson has arranged a group of tickets for $25 per person for the 2:00 pm Storm vs Chicago Sky team game on Sunday, August 16th. We will figure out a way to carpool to facilitate transportation to the venue (Climate Arena at Seattle Center). 5. Who would like to walk with Margret Buchmann, out-of-doors in her neighborhood, around 9:00 am, for 30 minutes to one hour, on one of these dates? She can meet you just outside the door of her building on East Madison St. between 19th Ave and 20th Ave…it’s quite level and she uses a rollator (outdoor walker with seat)…details to follow after you let me know (not by responding to this one-way email, but denise@widerhorizonsvillage.org :
