Travel schedules have prompted another change in this year's schedule for our book group. In October we will read "The Island of Missing Trees" and in December, "Finding The Mother Tree.” The new schedule is attached.

Scam alert from Patricia Henley: For the last few days I have received multiple calls from a phone number purporting to be from a jail in “Jackson County,” asking that I accept the charges for a phone call from someone incarcerated there. I didn’t answer the calls. They went to voicemail. I assume the scammers wanted me to say the word “yes” so that they could use my voice for illegal purposes. After repeated calls I blocked the number, of course. The overall message: Don’t answer calls from numbers you don’t recognize; just let those calls go to voicemail.
