Monday Morning Memo - 8.31.2026
Wider Horizons Events and Information
If you haven’t joined the Movie Group but want to, contact me or group leader Denise Lishner to be added to our list. Members of the group watch movies on their own or with another member and discuss them over Zoom on the last Monday of each month (that’s today). Today’s movie is the documentary Secret Mall Apartment. Let me know if you’ve seen it and want to join the group and I’ll send you the Zoom link.
Men’s Coffee, Wednesday, 10:30 am, at Victrola on 15th Ave.
Women’s Coffee, Wednesday, 10:30 am, at Susan Adler's home: 815 37th Ave, Seattle, 98112. Her phone #: 206 605-0093. Susan's street is narrow. Please park only on the side of the street that s across from her house. There are 27 stairs to her front door. The first 20 have a very good railing, the last 7 do not. Thursday Morning All-Member Zoom Dialogue with Sue Lerner. You will need to open 2 links to find the Zoom link. First click here to open the invitation that shows the topics for the meeting. Then find the Zoom link to the meeting in the invitation that just opened.
Join the Arboretum Walk, led by Richard Zerbe, Sunday, September 6. Meet at 9 am at the Arboretum’s Graham Visitors Center.
Happy Hour at Jimmy’s this coming Sunday, September 6, 4 pm.
It won’t be enough fun if we only have 30 people signed up for our September 18 Potluck Dance Party, 4 pm at the Mt. Baker Community Club (as is now the case). If you’ve been waiting or holding back, this week is the time to let Nancy Hooyman that you are planning to attend. Contact Nancy at: hooy@uw.edu And if you aren’t planning to attend for a reason that you think would help us figure out why response is low, you can talk to me.
