Sunday Arboretum Walk, November 2, led by Richard Zerbe. Meet at 9 am at the Arboretum’s Graham Visitors Center.
Gay Hoerler, expert seamstress and collector of sewing paraphernalia, is offering a sewing bee/clinic with room for 2 more people at her Capitol Hill home: 2 pm on Thursday, November 6. Bring your sewing or mending projects—especially those with which you’d like some help. Need a button? The right color thread? The right tool for the right job? Gay can has all of these and can also help you execute. We’ll chat while we work (like in the olden days). No zipper replacements! Light refreshments. All genders welcome. Let me know if you’d like to attend, I’ll keep a running list, and Gay is willing to do repeats. I’ll also send you her address and arrange carpooling.
