From Debbie Ward, Moderator: The November Storytelling session is this Thursday, November 20th at 4 pm on Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86122240547?pwd=MmT2lUrvKMf8timkiHNCAtyI2dk2XY.1. Here is the line-up: Brenda Reiss, Flipping the Bird; Aza Hadas, My Angels; Stephen Galey, Hitchhiking Therapy; and Donald Simpson, Big Brother.
Here’s what Debbie says about the next (Thursday, December 18) Storytelling Session: We would all enjoy a story you might have about the holidays. A funny story about travel or family gatherings, a moving example of generosity, a spiritual experience that moved you in a new way. Please be in touch with me if you have a story you could tell. I’m happy to help you focus your story or give it some structure. Thank you for volunteering. Yours is the music that makes the Wider Horizons community go around. Do be in touch with Debbie about your December story (debbieward222@gmail.com)
Men’s Coffee, hosted by Charles Heaney, is scheduled for this Friday, November 21, 10:30 am at Ada’s Coffee on 15th Ave E.
Sunday Arboretum Walk, November 23, led by Richard Zerbe. Meet at 9 am at the Arboretum’s Graham Visitors Center.
The December holidays are just around the corner. Let me know if you’d like to host a social event at your home (or elsewhere) (maybe even in collaboration with another member)…and give me parameters like dates/times, how many guests you can accommodate, what you want to provide, etc. The preferred date range is December 15 – January 1.

From Wolfgang Kluge: Here is the link to our Peace Chorus concerts on Saturday and Sunday, November 22 and 23: https://seattlepeacechorus.org/events/concerts/2025fall/ It will be a great concert, fitting for our times, but still uplifting and providing hope. It would be great to see you there.
From Dick Zerbe an article (attached) on men’s and women’s exercise with some surprising news.
From Micki Lippe: Scarves, scarves, and more scarves. If you have any scarves that you are not wearing, and do not want to keep, I will happily take them. I remake them into my scarf art. You can drop them off at my house, 1129 21st Ave. E., or bring them to a wide horizons event. and if you would like an art scarf out of your collection, I am happy to provide it. And see the attached photos.
