Wider Horizons Events and Information

  1. Our 10th Anniversary is set for Thursday, September 18, 3-7 pm at the Northwest African American Museum, 2300 S. Massachusetts Ave. Please confirm your attendance to me! Delights include the Museum’s incredible exhibits, including the black and white photography of Spider Martin, Selma is Now, which provides a rich opportunity for remembering the defining movement of our generation (I wept when I viewed it): NAAM | Selma is Now Exhibit; as well as our own exciting program, and the opportunity for some dancing and connecting with new and old friends. I can arrange a ride for you…and the facility is very accessible.

  2. Women’s Coffee this Wednesday, July 2 at 10:30 am at the home of Kristin Tregillus, 2722 S 31st Street. A local landmark is Franklin High School.  Kristin is hoping we can gather in her garden, and also hopes the weather will cooperate……so, wear hats!  She will provide coffee and tea and invites you to bring fruit or other goodies to share.
