Women’s Coffee Wednesday, June 4, 10:30 am at Susan Fleischmann’s home, 615 38th Ave. As always, this will be a welcoming and dynamic gathering!
Wider Horizons’ men are invited to meet for coffee and conversation, Wednesday, June 4, 10:30 am at Ada’s on 15th Ave.
Thursday morning’s All-Member Zoom is happening, per usual, this Thursday, June 5 at 9:30 am. Sue Lerner will send out the link and questions on Wednesday.
Sunday Arboretum Walk, Sunday, June 8, led by Dick Zerbe. Meet at 9 am at the Graham Visitors Center.
Let me know if you’re interested in a field trip, suggested by Micki Lippe, for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Tacoma Art Museum in July. Then I’ll work on getting a date and setting up carpools. If you know the restaurant scene there, you could also suggest a place at which we could lunch.

Nora Langan recommends (her Great Old Broads for Wilderness group is co-sponsoring): A Majestic Matriarchy: Honoring the Southern Resident Orcas on Saturday, June 14, 5-8:30 pm at St. Joseph Hall in Seattle. (See attached flyer for details). The existence of these orcas is imperiled. Listen, learn, and be inspired by the heartfelt words, visions, and voices of Indigenous women leaders who will comfort, celebrate, and bring attention to the orca crisis. Ticket registration deadline is Friday, June 6th at 5 PM. Contact: abby@wildsalmon.org

You may have missed the Bellevue Botanical Gardens Ikebana exhibit in which Susan Adler was an enthusiastic participant, but Susan has shared her lovely Ikebana of Calla Lillies and Solomon’s Seal (see attached photo).
