Excellent article on health and aging shared by Micki Lippe: https://mcpress.mayoclinic.org/healthy-aging/redefining-health-and-value-as-we-age/
Sandra Wheeler mentioned an article in Sunday’s Seattle Times, page C5. She says, “While nothing surprises me, one sentence stood out: ‘Only a small percentage of initial [Medicare] denials are appealed….’ Perhaps WH should remind members to appeal Medicare denials. Earlier in the article, it stated that 97-98% of long-term care/rehab/nursing home denials were overturned in 5-6 days.”
A short story I loved (with an aging theme) from The New Yorker is attached.
