Zach Glass recently discovered the Polish Club on Madison about 18th. On Friday nights the Club serves a dinner prepared by their members. This Friday, May 15 at 6 pm Zach and Debbie Ward are going to dinner there and would like to invite 4 Wider Horizons members to join them. Dinners are about $30. Zach and Debbie will pay your one-dollar club membership fee. Please respond to Debbie if you would like to join them, email Debbieward222@gmail.com. First come, first served. You can check out polishhome.org for more information
The Members’ Artists and Makers Show held last Wednesday was a smashing success thanks to the work of the planning committee (Joan Greathouse, Susan Jamison, Connie Glinsmann) and all the artists and makers who participated (18 of them!). The volunteers who contributed are too numerous to name here. I’ve attached just one of the many photos that were taken by volunteer Johnny VanLandingham. The attached photo is of Susan Adler standing by her Ikebana and wearing one of the scarves that Barbara Oswald is selling to raise funds for her dragon boat’s trip to Taipei to compete in the World Dragon Boat Racing Championships this summer. Contact Barb if you’d like to purchase a scarf: boswald53@gmail.com Watch for the Spring/Summer edition of our Newsletter to be published at the end of May…it will have many more Art Show photos.
